What this page is for #
Quick Set Up lets you configure GEOmatic in one minute. Choose a ready-made preset, optionally toggle individual options, then Apply. A confirmation notice (“Preset applied. Wiring updated.”) appears when everything is saved.
Access & where you find it #
Quick Set Up lives under the GEOmatic AI menu and is available to administrators (WordPress capability manage_options). It’s also linked throughout the suite for a smooth first-run experience.
The 1-minute wizard (welcome overlay) #
The first time you open AI View, a friendly overlay invites you to run the 1-minute setup. You can start immediately, or click Maybe later—your choice is remembered per administrator. The wizard includes a direct Open key page link and clearly lists the three steps.
Wizard steps, at a glance:
- Connect providers — paste your OpenAI (and other) API keys; there’s a shortcut to the key page.
- Search Console — set your property in Reading settings.
- Modules — enable Weekly refresh; optionally GSC checks and Title A/B.
You can also open the wizard later from AI View via Open 1-minute wizard.
Presets you can pick (cards) #
The page presents three preset cards, each with an “i” button for a plain-English explainer:
- Conservative — safe defaults: JSON-LD, AI sitemap, summaries ON, minimal automation.
- Standard — balanced: summaries, entities, intent/trending, AI sitemap, JSON-LD.
- Aggressive — full automation: linking & contextual, real-time performance, multi-language, visuals.
Click Apply on any preset to load it instantly; a success banner confirms the update.
Fine-tune with checkboxes (per-feature) #
Below each preset, a grid of checkbox toggles lets you tailor the setup before applying. Labels are human-readable (e.g., AI Summaries, Organization JSON-LD, AI Sitemap, Automatic AI Meshing, AI Anti-Scraping). These correspond to grouped capabilities like AI Discovery, Content Intelligence, Technical SEO, Linking & UX, Protection, Performance, and Creative & Market.
When you apply, your selections are saved and persist across the suite (Experience, Insights, etc.).
“Apply wiring now” (instant sync) #
A top-right action lets you Apply wiring now so changes take effect immediately—useful after switching presets or toggles. A small inline status text confirms the result.
Behind the scenes, a lightweight drift check keeps wiring in sync; if anything looks mismatched, the system refreshes and notes the outcome. (You’ll also see drift info in related admin notices when relevant.)
Quick internal links #
At the top of the page, quick buttons jump to AI Experience, AI Insights, AI Reporting, AI Bot Detection, and Debug. This helps you apply a preset, then immediately review stats or logs without hunting through menus.
Admin notices & confirmations #
After you apply a preset, you’ll see a green success notice. If something can’t be applied, a clear error notice appears so you can retry or adjust choices.
A compact modal provides neutral, non-technical descriptions for each preset and toggle (opened by the little “i” buttons).
Typical quick-start workflow #
- Open Quick Set Up and pick a preset that matches your risk/automation appetite.
- (Optional) Check or uncheck feature boxes to fit your brand and stack.
- Click Apply → look for the success banner.
- Hit Apply wiring now for instant sync, then jump via Quick links to verify KPIs in Insights/Reporting or run a health peek in Debug.
Buyer-friendly tips (non-technical) #
- Not sure where to start? Choose Standard—it balances enrichment and safety for most sites.
- If you already run a heavy SEO stack, start Conservative, then toggle extras in small steps.
- High-velocity publishers often prefer Aggressive to automate linking and multi-language signals from day one.
