Two pages, one system:
- Quick Setup = your preset launcher. It’s designed to get you live fast with Conservative / Standard / Aggressive presets and a few on/off tweaks.
- AI Experience = the live control center. Once a preset is applied, AI Experience becomes the source of truth for all modules.
Recommended rollout (to maximize stability) #
- Week 1: choose “Standard”.
This enables the core signals (summaries, entities, schema, AI sitemap, etc.) with safe defaults. - After 5–7 days: move up.
If engagement and crawl look healthy, switch to Aggressive or selectively enable advanced items (linking, real-time performance, visuals, multi-language) from AI Experience.
What happens when you click Apply in Quick Setup #
- You’ll see a short status next to the button (e.g., “Applying…” → “Applied ✓”) and a confirmation message like “Configuration applied. Wiring updated.”
- Behind the scenes, the preset + your checkbox overrides are pushed to AI Experience. The system refreshes the “wiring” so the right modules load on the site.
“Why do some toggles uncheck themselves in Quick Setup?” #
Totally normal. Quick Setup is a preset launcher, not the canonical settings screen. After Apply:
- AI Experience takes over and holds the live configuration.
- Quick Setup may show its default preset view (some toggles can look different).
- If you need to see or change what’s actually active, go to AI Experience—that’s where the live switches and statuses are authoritative.
How to verify it’s live #
- In Quick Setup, after clicking Apply, look for the short status (and brief spinner/“applying” message).
- In AI Experience, you’ll see modules marked Live / Idle / Disabled. “Live” means the feature is currently active; “Idle” means available/inactive; “Disabled” is off.
- Optional: use “Apply wiring now” in either page if you want to force a refresh immediately. If a “drift” notice appears, use “Fix wiring now.”
Changing modes later #
- You can re-open Quick Setup and apply another preset at any time (it will sync forward to AI Experience), or toggle items directly in AI Experience for granular control.
- Best practice: make changes, wait a few days to let crawlers and users react, then iterate.
Troubleshooting (quick tips) #
- If you ever see a blank flash or a stuck state, click Apply again and wait for the “Applied ✓” message, then refresh AI Experience.
- Conflicts with other admin apps are handled automatically; if something looks off, use “Fix wiring now” and recheck statuses.
TL;DR:
Use Quick Setup to start (Standard for ~1 week), then fine-tune in AI Experience. It’s expected that Quick Setup switches don’t mirror the live state after Apply—the live truth is in AI Experience.
