Cockpit AI is your central command: a fast overview of AI readiness, recent activity, and crawler signals—plus one-click actions to keep everything moving. Figures here mirror AI Reporting and Bot Detection for consistency across the suite.

Navigation & tabs #

A clean tab bar groups tools so editors find what they need quickly:
Overview • Modules • Activity • Bot Detection • Reports.

Overview — KPI strip & quick insight #

At the top, a compact strip highlights three live indicators:

• AI-Optimized Coverage (%) — share of your published content that’s AI-ready. A small “How it’s calculated” link opens a plain-English explainer.
• Last AI Task — the most recent automated action (cron/manual) with a friendly timestamp.
• Pending Summaries — live count of items waiting for an AI summary.

Below, four cards provide more detail:

• Pages Optimized by AI — shows with-summary / total with an explainer link.
• Pages Containing AI Schema — count and percentage across your site.
• Pending Summaries (live) — mirrors the queue in real time.
• Distinct Bot Types — how many crawler families were detected recently.

A Cron schedule list displays each upcoming GEOmatic task with the next run (local/GMT), so you can verify automation at a glance.

When you trigger actions from this page, a small notice confirms if something was queued or completed, keeping the workflow crystal clear.

Quick actions (safe & focused) #

From the Cockpit you can run three essential actions:

1. Scan for Missing Summaries — queues a site-wide check for items that still need an AI summary.
2. Generate AI Summaries Now — queues summary generation for eligible content.
3. Run Now — executes both scan and generation immediately (synchronous), useful right after bulk edits.
   Each action records activity and updates the “Last AI Task” timestamp automatically.

Modules — toggle key capabilities #

The Modules tab lists major capabilities with an On/Off button and a short, non-technical description (e.g., AI Summaries, Semantic Tagging, Internal Linking, Weekly Auto-Reports). Toggling is instant and logs a note in the Activity tab. (Admin permissions apply.)

Activity — what happened, when #

A simple table shows the last 50 actions with four columns: Time, Action Type (e.g., analysis, summary, settings, manual), Content/Task, and Outcome (e.g., Scheduled, Started, Completed Successfully). Routine automated entries (cron) are logged for transparency.

Bot Detection (inside Cockpit) #

See a compact snapshot of crawler behavior—Detected Bot Visits, Distinct Bot Types, and Top Crawling Bot—plus a short Recent Bot Visits table (latest 50). A button opens the full bot log for deeper review.

Reports — exports & alignment #

From this tab, export your Content Report as CSV or JSON, or jump straight to the full AI Reporting page. The cards here repeat Optimized Pages and Schema Pages to keep numbers aligned with your main reporting dashboard.

Where numbers come from (high level) #

Cockpit pulls its core counts (optimized/pages with schema/total) from the same source as AI Reporting, and bot metrics from Bot Detection, which is why the figures always match. If you’re curious, the “How it’s calculated” links open a human-readable help page—no code needed.

Typical workflow this page enables #

1. Glance at the Overview to check coverage, last task, and the queue.
2. Trigger an action (scan / generate / run now) after content updates.
3. Toggle modules to match your goals (automation, enrichment, reporting).
4. Review Activity to confirm outcomes and timing.
5. Export reports or open the full dashboard when you need deep dives.
